Massachusetts at Amherst in 2005. Currently working for Google in Mountain View, CA.

approach for solving constrained Markov decision processes.
Enrolled in PhD program in Computer Science at Michigan State University.
- Xiaoying Tan. Received MS May 2004 for project: A k-group
generalization of A* for multiple sequence alignment. Enrolled
in MS program in Statistics at Mississippi State University.
- Zhijie Guan. Received MS December 2003 for project: Simultaneous
multiple sequence alignment and phylogeny reconstruction. Enrolled
in PhD program at University of Alabama at Birmingham.
- Ming Yan. Received MS August 2002 for project: Improving a stochastic
finite-state controller for POMDPs by gradient ascent: Some
experiments. Subsequently earned an MS in Statistics from the
University of North Texas and is currently a Programmer/Analyst
for Quintiles Inc. in Thousand Oaks, CA.
- Muhammed Tareque. Received MS August 2002 for project:
Programming an autonomous robot to navigate an agricultural
field. Enrolled in PhD program at University of Arkansas.
- Sean Taylor, Received MS August 2001 for project: Automatic adjustment of
parameters in a knowledge-discovery system. Employed as Software
Engineer for Northrop Grummen in Annapolis, Maryland.
- Guibin Qiao. Received MS December 2000 for project: Experiments with
memory-bounded AO*. Employed as Senior Software Engineer for Hyperion
Solutions Corporation, in Sunnyvale, CA.
